FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Answers to common Boca Raton dog boarding questions about nightly rates, vaccines, holiday stays, hurricane plans and first-time boarders.
Questions, answered.
How much does dog boarding cost in Boca Raton?
Typical ranges run from about $50 per night for a long stay to around $110 for an in-home sitter. Size, dates, medication needs and extras decide where your dog lands.
How far ahead should I book for winter?
Many owners reserve a month or more ahead for December through March and for school breaks. Holiday weeks often need even earlier planning, so ask each provider about their cutoff.
Which vaccines will a provider ask for?
Rabies and DHPP are common, and many also want Bordetella and sometimes canine influenza. Rules differ, so confirm the current list with the provider and ask your vet early.
Is a kennel or an in-home sitter better?
Social, energetic dogs often enjoy a facility with play groups. Shy, older or very small dogs often relax more in a quiet home, though sitters usually cost more.
What happens to my dog during a hurricane warning?
Ask each provider in advance whether they stay open, evacuate or close, and how pickup works. Having a written plan before June saves stressful phone calls later.
Can I board a dog that lives in a condo?
Yes. Condo dogs sometimes need a gentle start, so consider a trial day or a one night stay first to see how your dog handles noise and other dogs.
Should I worry about heat and humidity during a stay?
It is worth asking. Good providers talk about shade, water, indoor cooling and shifting outdoor play to cooler hours, and they can describe their routine on hot afternoons.
Do you board dogs yourselves?
No. This site reviews each request and refers it to an independent local provider, who then contacts you directly with rates and availability.
